Can't Join Hytale Servers or Minigames? Simon Says "Our Stats Not Showing This Issue", While slikey Traced One Case to a Cloudflare Block

By HytaleCharts Team Category: news 8 min read

If you cannot join Hytale servers or minigames after Chapter 1, here is what is actually on the record rather than what is being repeated. A player, @ZurMCYT, told Simon Collins-Laflamme on 19 October 2026 that half or most of the Hytale player base cannot join servers or minigames. That figure is his, not a studio measurement, and Simon disputed the scale directly: the studio's own stats are not showing an issue of that size. In the same reply he asked anyone affected to file a bug report as soon as possible, which matters, because disputing the scale is not the same as saying nothing is broken. Separately, developer slikey diagnosed one player whose minigames, mods and friends tabs refused to appear as being blocked from Hytale's endpoints behind Cloudflare. We carry every quote verbatim with timestamps and links, explain why an endpoint block empties list-type tabs instead of stopping the game outright, and set out a practical checklist for working out which failure you have.

The direct answer first: Hypixel Studios has not acknowledged a Hytale joining fault at the scale some players are describing, but it has twice asked affected players to file bug reports, and one developer has publicly diagnosed a specific cause for a player whose minigames, mods and friends tabs would not appear. That cause was the player being blocked from Hytale's endpoints behind Cloudflare. Two separate things are on the record, and they are easy to confuse: a claim about how many players are affected, which a co-founder disputed, and a hedged diagnosis of one player's symptoms. Both are below, verbatim. Can't Join Hytale Servers or Minigames? What Was Actually Claimed The exchange grew out of a post about something else entirely. On Monday 19 October 2026 at 00:08:28 UTC, @IkarinoKuni posted to 12,347 views and 313 likes: Hytale is having more and more just INSANE servers pop up.. ITS STARRTTINGGGGG!!! Simon Collins-Laflamme, co-founder of Hypixel Studios, replied at 00:33:18 UTC, in a post with 626 likes: Imagine in 5+ years, the ecosystem will be insane FOMO will be real Five minutes later, at 00:38:55 UTC, @ZurMCYT replied to Simon with the line that turned the thread into a story: I think half or most of the players base of Hytale cannot join servers or minigames are y’all currently looking at it? Note what that is. It is one player's impression, phrased as "I think", in a reply with 2,022 views. It is not a studio figure, not a measurement and not a number anybody has published, which is why we attribute it to @ZurMCYT every time it appears here. If you see "half or most of the player base" repeated elsewhere as a statistic, it has been laundered along the way. What Hypixel Studios Said: "Our Stats Not Showing This Issue" Simon answered at 01:06:20 UTC, in a post with 85 likes and 3,204 views: Are you sure? Our stats not showing this issue, if anyone you know have issue have them fill a bug report asap This is the part most worth reading slowly, because it is being flattened in both directions. What Simon disputed is the scale. "Our stats not showing this issue" is the studio saying its own telemetry does not reflect a problem affecting anything like half or most of the player base. That challenges @ZurMCYT's figure, and it is the only part of the reply that functions as a denial. What Simon did not say is that nothing is broken. He did not tell anyone their problem was imaginary, and in the same breath he asked for bug reports "asap". Those halves fit together: if the studio's dashboards do not show a fault, the cases that do exist are ones it may not be seeing, which is exactly when individual reports become useful. Reading this as "Hypixel Studios says there is no problem" misrepresents it, and reading it as an acknowledged outage misrepresents it the other way. He queried a number and asked for data. Hytale Minigames Tab Not Showing, Mods and Friends Tabs Missing: The One Confirmed Mechanism Two days earlier there was a different exchange, and it is the more practically useful of the two because it ends in a diagnosis rather than a disagreement. On Saturday 17 October 2026 at 16:43:10 UTC, @noah47440815510 wrote to Hypixel Studios developer slikey: My friend and I are having some trouble; the game took a very long time to load, and now that it has, the tabs for minigames, mods, and friends aren't showing up. Is something wrong? At 18:38:45 UTC, slikey replied: @noah47440815510 This looks like you are blocked from accessing our endpoints behind Cloudflare. Is it possible for you to file a bug report and give us the ID or does that also fail to submit? He also looped in another Hypixel Studios developer on that reply. Two cautions. slikey said "This looks like", not "this is": it is a hedged read of one short description, by a developer who then asked for a report ID to confirm it. And it is not a finding that Cloudflare is blocking Hytale players in general, nor an explanation of @ZurMCYT's scale claim. It is one cause for one class of failure. That class is worth understanding, because the symptom pattern is distinctive. The minigames, mods and friends tabs are all populated by lists the client fetches from Hytale's own backend services. If the client cannot reach those endpoints there is no list to draw, so the tab comes up empty or does not render at all, while the game itself still launches and plays. That is a different picture from a connection attempt to one server timing out, and it is why slikey could narrow things down from a single sentence. It also explains the second half of his reply: if the client cannot reach the endpoints, the bug report form may not submit either, which is why he asked whether that also fails. Can't Join a Hytale Server? A Practical Checklist None of this comes with a guarantee. The studio has not published a fix, and we are not going to pretend a checklist resolves a problem the developers are still asking for reports about. What it can do is tell you which failure you have. Work out whether tabs are empty or connections are failing. Blank or absent minigames, mods and friends tabs while the rest of the game works is the pattern slikey described, which is about reaching Hytale's backend. Tabs that populate normally while one server refuses you with a connection error is a different problem, and our guide to fixing the "failed to connect to server" error is the place to start. Try a different network. An endpoint block is usually something sitting between you and the service, so the fastest test is to move. A phone hotspot, a different home connection, or any network that is not the one that failed will tell you in a couple of minutes whether the problem travels with your machine or stays with your connection. Turn off a VPN, proxy, DNS filter or custom DNS, temporarily. This is the realistic shape of the block slikey described. VPN exit addresses, school or corporate networks, pi-hole style filters and some public resolvers are all common reasons a client cannot reach a service behind Cloudflare while ordinary browsing looks fine. Disable them, restart the game fully and see whether the tabs populate. Check whether it is a friends-only problem rather than a servers problem. If you can join public servers but cannot join a friend's, the likeliest cause is on the hosting side, and double NAT is the classic one. Our write-up on double NAT and not being able to join friends covers how to identify and work around it. File a bug report with an ID, because both developers asked for one. This is the only step either of them requested, and the only one that affects whether the studio sees your case. If the form will not submit, say so wherever you can, since that failure is itself a symptom slikey was looking for. Official support lives at support.hytale.com, and we are not going to link a deeper page or form address we cannot verify. Do not assume minigames are missing because they are broken. Some of what players expect was not part of the Chapter 1 launch at all, and our Chapter 1 patch notes coverage, including minigames not arriving at launch, sets out what shipped. An empty tab and an absent feature look identical from the client. Background: 0.7.1 and 0.7.2 Did Address Joining and Connecting Joining problems after Chapter 1 are not new, and the studio has shipped against them before. Hotfix 0.7.1 included work on joining and connecting, covered in our write-up of hotfix 0.7.1, and 0.7.2 followed with further world and server stability work, covered in our piece on hotfix 0.7.2. That is background, and it should be read as background. We are not claiming a fix has shipped for anything described in this article. When we checked, there was no official Hytale post of any kind after 12 October, and the living hotfix page topped out at 0.7.2, dated 14 October. There is no 0.7.3. If you have been told a patch has already resolved this, that patch does not exist yet. What We Could Not Verify How many players are affected. No figure exists from Hypixel Studios and we are not going to publish one. @ZurMCYT's "half or most" is a player's impression, Simon disputed it, and neither side has put a number in public. Any percentage of affected players you see has been invented. Whether the Cloudflare diagnosis applied to more than one player. slikey gave it to one person, hedged, about one set of symptoms. We have no evidence about how common it is, and he did not say. What the studio's telemetry actually measures. "Our stats" was not elaborated on. A dashboard showing nothing and a player who cannot reach an endpoint are not necessarily in contradiction, but we flag that as an open question rather than asserting it. Whether anything has changed since 19 October. Reply discovery on X is not exhaustive. Treat these as the latest verified comments, not the only possible ones. If you cannot get in, the honest summary is that the studio is asking for your bug report rather than pointing you at a fix, and that one identifiable cause of blank minigames, mods and friends tabs is now on the record. Testing a different network and dropping any VPN or DNS filter costs a few minutes and will tell you whether you are in that category.
