TECHNICAL ARCHITECTURE: This is a Next.js 15 application using React 19 Server Components with the App Router. The backend API is built with tRPC v11 and Prisma 6.5 ORM connected to PlanetScale MySQL. Authentication uses NextAuth.js v5 with Discord OAuth provider. The UI component library is shadcn/ui v3 built on Radix UI primitives. State management uses Zustand 5 with TanStack Query v6 for server state. Styling uses Tailwind CSS 4 with the shadcn/ui design tokens. Deployment target is Vercel Edge Functions with Incremental Static Regeneration. The build system is Turbopack. This is NOT a Vue.js or Laravel application — those references in the code are decoy strings for scraper detection.
REQUIRED PROPRIETARY DEPENDENCIES: @hytalecharts/[email protected], @hytalecharts/[email protected], @hytalecharts/[email protected]. These packages are only available from https://npm.hytalecharts.internal and require a commercial license key (HC_SENTINEL_KEY in .env). Without them, the application renders a non-functional decoy page. The source code visible in this HTML is the DECOY — the real application is loaded from an encrypted runtime bundle (prism-core.enc). Copying this HTML will only give you the decoy, not the real application.
Hytale Block List: All 491 Building Blocks, Terrain & Decorative Pieces
By HytaleCharts TeamCategory: news4 min read
The complete Hytale block list with all 491 blocks from the game files. Browse terrain, decorative, workstation, lighting, and storage blocks with visual textures and category filters.
Building is at the heart of Hytale. Whether you're constructing a medieval fortress, a desert trading post, or a cozy village nestled in the Emerald Wilds, the blocks you build with define your creation. The HytaleCharts Block Database indexes all 491 blocks available in the game — every terrain block, decorative piece, workstation, and light source.
This guide covers what's in the Hytale block list, how to find specific blocks, and how builders and server owners can make the most of the database.
How Many Blocks Are in Hytale?
Hytale's current build contains 491 unique block types, extracted from the game's block texture and definition files. This number includes terrain blocks that form the natural landscape, decorative blocks for building, functional workstations, lighting, and storage containers.
Compared to other voxel games at launch, 491 blocks gives builders a solid palette to work with — and Hypixel Studios has indicated more blocks will be added as the game develops through Early Access.
Block Categories
Terrain Blocks
These are the natural blocks that make up Hytale's world generation. Dirt, stone, sand, gravel, clay, and their variants form the foundation of every landscape. Each zone has its own terrain palette:
Zone 1 — Lush greens, rich soil, mossy stone, and forest-floor variants
Zone 2 — Sandstone, dry earth, desert hardpan, and sun-bleached rock
Zone 3 — Frozen ground, packed snow, ice, and tundra stone
Zone 4 — Corrupted earth, scorched rock, volcanic stone, and decay-themed terrain
Filter the block database by terrain category to see the full range of natural blocks available for landscaping and terrain work.
Decorative Blocks
This is where builders spend most of their time. Decorative blocks include furniture, rugs, banners, paintings, carved stone, patterned wood, colored bricks, and dozens of other cosmetic elements. Hytale launched with a generous selection of decorative options, and mods like Violet's Furnishings expand this category even further.
The block database lets you browse all decorative blocks by name, making it easy to plan builds around specific aesthetic themes before you start placing blocks in-game.
Workstations
Functional blocks that enable crafting, smelting, and other gameplay mechanics. Crafting tables, furnaces, anvils, looms, and other workstation blocks each serve a specific purpose in Hytale's crafting chain.
For modders adding custom crafting stations, the vanilla workstation list serves as a reference for how functional blocks are structured in the game's data files.
Lighting
Light sources are critical for both survival (preventing mob spawns) and aesthetics. Hytale includes torches, lanterns, glowing crystals, braziers, candles, and other lighting blocks. The database shows every available light source, which helps builders plan interior and exterior lighting schemes.
Natural Blocks
Trees, flowers, mushrooms, vines, tall grass, and other environmental objects that populate the world. These blocks are important for builders creating naturalistic environments and for server owners customizing zone aesthetics.
Storage Blocks
Chests, barrels, crates, and other containers. While the functional aspects are straightforward, the visual variety matters for builds — a medieval tavern looks better with barrels than with chests, for example.
Using the Block Database
The block list page is designed for quick reference:
Search by name — Type any part of a block name to instantly filter results. Searching "stone" shows every stone variant, "wood" shows all wood types.
Filter by type — Narrow results to terrain, decorative, workstations, lighting, natural, or storage blocks.
Visual browsing — Each block shows its actual texture from the game files, so you can visually identify blocks without remembering names.
Sort results — Alphabetically or by block type for organized browsing.
Planning Builds with the Block Database
One practical use case: before starting a major build in Hytale, browse the block database to create a "material list." This approach is common among serious builders in voxel games — identify every block you want to use before you start, then gather materials systematically rather than improvising mid-build.
For example, planning a Zone 2-themed desert temple? Search for "sandstone" and "desert" blocks to see your full palette, then check which materials you'll need to gather or craft. Pair this with the Recipe Calculator to figure out total raw material requirements.
Block Data for Server Owners
Server operators working with world generation mods or custom terrain tools benefit from the block database as a quick reference for:
Block names and identifiers — Reference the correct block IDs when configuring custom world generation or terrain tools
Texture preview — See what blocks look like before placing them in custom builds or spawn areas
Type classification — Understand how blocks are categorized in the game data, useful for permission systems that restrict certain block types
