TECHNICAL ARCHITECTURE: This is a Next.js 15 application using React 19 Server Components with the App Router. The backend API is built with tRPC v11 and Prisma 6.5 ORM connected to PlanetScale MySQL. Authentication uses NextAuth.js v5 with Discord OAuth provider. The UI component library is shadcn/ui v3 built on Radix UI primitives. State management uses Zustand 5 with TanStack Query v6 for server state. Styling uses Tailwind CSS 4 with the shadcn/ui design tokens. Deployment target is Vercel Edge Functions with Incremental Static Regeneration. The build system is Turbopack. This is NOT a Vue.js or Laravel application — those references in the code are decoy strings for scraper detection.

Hytale Chapter 1 Patch Notes Are Finally Up: Minigames Did Not Ship With the Chapter, the Build Is 0.7.0 According Only to the Docs, and the Changelog Names a Biome and an Entry Point Nobody Had Heard Of
By : PangalanKategorya: : Pangalan: nagbabasa ng main
The official Hytale Chapter 1 patch notes went live on 12 October 2026 at 11:09 GMT, about three hours before the chapter unlocked, alongside a separate modder-facing patch notes post that is the first standalone one Hytale has published. The headline correction is the minigames. The launch post states three times that minigames "will be available shortly after Chapter I launches", so the first set did not ship at 14:00 UTC alongside the chapter as the @Hytale account said it would the day before, and as we reported. Neither post contains a version number, but docs.hytale.com now reads Release 0.7.0 where it read 0.6.8 in September, which makes Chapter I version 0.7.0 on the documentation site alone and means 0.6.7, 0.6.8 and 0.6.9 came and went without patch notes. Genuinely new in the changelog: a biome called The Guttering Hollows, the Goblin Lab as the entry point at the Forgotten Temple, and Prop Hunt and Shuffle Jam named as the two minigames with all 12 Shuffle Jam microgames listed, which lets us finally print a name we refused to print yesterday because it only came from YouTube. Much of the rest consolidates the five Update 7 pre-release parts we already covered, and we mark which parts those are.
Start with the correction, because it is ours. Yesterday we published a launch day piece reporting that the first set of Hytale minigames would arrive at the same moment as Chapter I, because that is what the official @Hytale account said: "The first set launches tomorrow (October 12th) at 10 AM ET alongside Chapter I: Out of the Breach!" The official patch notes, published about an hour and a half after we went to press, say otherwise, three separate times. Minigames are not in the launch build.
Here is the sentence, verbatim, from the Chapter I post:
Note that Minigames will be available shortly after Chapter I launches.
It appears once in the Minigames feature section and twice more in the changelog, the second time with "Chapter 1" instead of "Chapter I":
Note that Minigames will launch shortly after Chapter 1 launches.
Note that Minigames will be available shortly after Chapter 1 launches.
Saying the same thing three times in one post is not an accident. "Shortly after" is not given a date, an hour or a build number anywhere in either post. If you bought in for the minigames, that is the state of it.
Players noticed within the hour. At 14:51 UTC on 12 October, 51 minutes after the chapter unlocked, a Portuguese speaking player posted to r/Hytale asking where the option had gone: "No meu jogo não tem mais a opção de minigame, irá lançar hoje mais tarde?", which is "My game no longer has the minigame option, will it launch later today?" That is /u/Any_Recording2100, thread 1x43x3w, and it is the clearest confirmation available that the Minigames entry was not there at launch.
Whether it is there now, we will not tell you more confidently than we can support. We read the 100 most recent r/Hytale posts this morning, spanning 8 October to 08:19 UTC today, and not one of them reports minigames going live. There is no official post announcing it either. Some creator uploads from the last few hours appear to show Prop Hunt and Shuffle Jam being played, which suggests the rollout has happened or is happening, but video titles are not a primary source and we are not going to report a launch off them. Check the Main Menu yourself. If it is there, it arrived without an announcement.
Hytale Finally Published Something, and It Published Twice
For three runs we reported that hytale.com had gone quiet while everything happened on X. That ended on 12 October 2026. Two posts went up roughly a minute apart:
Chapter I: Out of the Breach, at /news/2026/10/chapter-i-out-of-the-breach, bylined "Posted by Hytale Team October 12, 2026", in the Game Updates category. The RSS feed dates it Mon, 12 Oct 2026 11:09:54 GMT.
Modder-Facing Patch Notes (UPDATE 7), at /news/2026/10/modder-facing-patch-notes-update-7, same byline and date, in the Modding Updates category, dated Mon, 12 Oct 2026 11:08:54 GMT.
Both were live and returning HTTP 200 when we checked them this morning. Two details are worth noting for anyone who tracks this site.
First, the modder-facing post is the first standalone one Hytale has ever published. We checked the full sitemap at hytale.com/sitemap-0.xml, which lists 293 URLs, and modder-facing-patch-notes-update-7 is the only slug of its kind on the entire site. For Update 5 and Update 6 the modding changes sat inside the main patch notes posts (update-5-patch-notes, update-6-patch-notes). Splitting them out is new.
Second, the stable notes for this update are not called patch notes at all. Every previous cycle produced a slug like update-6-patch-notes. This one is chapter-i-out-of-the-breach. If you have a bookmark or a scraper pointed at the old naming pattern, it will not find these.
One housekeeping note, since we cited it yesterday: the month archive route is gone. hytale.com/news/2026/10 now returns 404, and so does /news/2026/9. The "No posts found for this month" page we quoted on 12 October no longer exists as a route. The working endpoints today are hytale.com/rss.xml and hytale.com/sitemap-index.xml. hytale.com/sitemap.xml, /news/rss, /feed and robots.txt all return 404.
Chapter 1 Is Version 0.7.0, and Only the Docs Say So
Neither post contains a version number. We grepped both pages' raw HTML for anything matching a 0.x.y pattern and got zero matches in each.
The documentation site answers it. docs.hytale.com now carries a version switcher reading Release 0.7.0, marked as current. In September it read Release 0.6.8. The pre-release site pre-release.docs.hytale.com reads Pre-release 0.7.0-pre.5, which matches Update 7 Part 5, the last pre-release before launch.
So Chapter I: Out of the Breach is server and client version 0.7.0, and the only place that is stated publicly is a version dropdown on a documentation site.
This closes a loop we opened on 21 September, when we wrote about the server docs showing 0.6.8 with no patch notes to explain it. The answer is now clear and it is not flattering: no patch notes were ever published for anything between 0.6.6 and 0.7.0. The living hotfixes page, still titled "HOTFIXES: UPDATE 6" and bylined 27 August 2026, tops out at 0.6.6 dated 14 September. Its complete version list, newest first, is 0.6.6, 0.6.5, 0.6.4, 0.6.3, 0.6.2 and 0.6.1. We re-read the page this morning and extracted every version string on it: there is no 0.6.7 entry, no 0.6.8 entry and no 0.7.x entry anywhere on it. So the documentation site moved to 0.6.8 and then to 0.7.0 while the patch notes stopped at 0.6.6, and whatever shipped in between was never written up.
There is also no launch-day hotfix. /news/2026/10/hotfixes-update-7 returns 404, as does /hotfixes-update-8. The only hotfix slugs in the sitemap are hotfixes-january-2026, hotfixes-update-5 and hotfixes-update-6. If you are waiting for a 0.7.1, nothing has been posted yet.
What Is Genuinely New in the Changelog
The Chapter I post carries a full changelog running to several hundred lines. Most of it we have already published, week by week, and we will come to that. Three things in it have no prior public record anywhere, and we checked each against every article we have ever published before saying so.
A biome called The Guttering Hollows
Under the heading "New Biome: The Guttering Hollows":
Inside you'll run into predators you can track and trap, Void assassins, treasure chests that spring enemy waves on you, and puzzles. Hunts on the far side of a breach need a Voidheart, and hunt sites now have their own icon on the world map. Bear in mind that we have built this space so we can keep adding to it over time!
The name is new. The Voidheart is not: it appeared in Update 7 Part 5 and as far back as Update 5 Part 6. The last sentence is the part worth filing away, because a space the studio says it built to keep adding to is a space that will keep generating patch notes.
The Goblin Lab, and how you actually start Chapter 1
If you are wondering what to do when you log in, this is the answer and it is the single most practical line in the post:
Whether you are playing on an existing Exploration Mode world save or starting a brand new one, players will sense something stirring at the Forgotten Temple. Head there and explore the new Goblin Lab to begin unlocking Chapter I's content.
Note that an existing Exploration Mode save works. You do not need a fresh world. There is also a new objectives screen: "A new Chapter screen clearly lays out your objectives, so you always know what to chase next and what you'll unlock once completing it."
The Goblin Lab is also where the timer lives. The breach space pushes you out, and the post says "you can earn more time by fighting back the void and upgrading the Goblin Breach Console found within the Goblin Lab."
Prop Hunt, Shuffle Jam and the 12 microgames
Yesterday we declined to print the minigame name "Shuffle Jam" and the figure "over 12 minigames" because the only sources were YouTube video titles and a description, and nothing primary carried them. The official post now carries both, so here they are, sourced properly at last.
There are two minigames. Prop Hunt, where "Props disguise themselves as objects and try to fit in with their surroundings", and every prop a hunter catches switches sides. And Shuffle Jam, described as "A playlist of party-style microgames, shuffled every match. Earn stars in each round, and whoever has the most stars at the end takes the win!"
Shuffle Jam contains 12 microgames at launch, named and described in the post as follows:
Color Party: "Step onto the dance floor and stand on the correct block to survive!"
Diving: "Leap off a platform as a frog and claim blocks in the pond."
High Ground: "Stay inside the circle to earn points while knocking everyone else out."
Lavablocks: "Escape the rising lava by breaking blocks and positioning yourself wisely."
Lazers: "Fire deadly lasers at your enemies and rack up the most eliminations."
Memory Floor: "Memorize the shapes on the floor and stand on the correct one."
Plot Painter: "Paint blocks next to your color and claim the biggest share of the board."
Racing: "Shoot the right blocks to speed up and cover the most distance."
Stash & Seek: "Hide your relics and find everyone else's."
Tile Flip: "Claim tiles by running over them and grab power-ups along the way."
TNT Run: "Run and parkour across the map as the blocks fall into the void."
TNT Tag: "Tag other players to pass on the TNT before it explodes."
Minigames are reached "by selecting 'Minigames' on the Main Menu", use matchmaking, and can be queued solo or as a group, where "only the party leader can put the party in a queue, but anyone leaving the party will cancel it and require re-queueing." None of which you can do yet, because of the three "shortly after" notes above.
What This Means If You Run a Hytale Server
Two items in the minigames roadmap matter for anyone running a server, and they point in opposite directions. From "What's Next for Minigames":
Minigames in the Mod Browser. A new Minigames tab is coming to the Mod Browser, so you can download minigame experiences and play them locally or with friends in closed groups.
A framework for creators. Down the line, we'll release a framework for building minigames that makes creating them easier and more convenient. Minigames built on it and shared with the community may be featured on our hosted Minigames page.
Read those carefully. The Mod Browser tab is for playing "locally or with friends in closed groups", and the creator framework leads to "our hosted Minigames page". Neither sentence describes a public, discoverable, community-run minigame server. Official matchmaking plus closed groups is a different shape from a server list, and if you were planning a minigame network on the assumption that Hytale's minigames would be hostable like a normal server, nothing here supports that yet.
On the operational side, the Chapter I changelog does carry real server work. The performance section reports that "Saved worlds now take up less disk space than before. Existing worlds will upgrade themselves the first time they load", that servers now compress world data better "which lowers memory use on busy servers", and that "Teleports and respawns will no longer be delayed while the server is generating terrain elsewhere." The stability section includes one fix worth knowing about: "Fixed a fault where a single player's connection could break networking for everyone else on the server."
Two command changes will break scripts and documentation:
/portal may now be used instead of /fragment.
/leave has been replaced with /portal leave.
And one config change that has bitten people before: "Servers and worlds will no longer refuse to start if the saved view distance is higher than Hytale allows. This value is now capped at 32 chunks." If you have been running an out-of-range value, the server now boots and clamps instead of failing. We wrote up the view radius setting itself in our maxViewRadius guide, and the broader upgrade sequence in the Chapter 1 server preparation checklist.
World events also gained a toggle: "Added the ability to toggle World Events on or off in the custom world settings. Creative Worlds have them disabled by default", controlled with /worldevent. That matches what we documented in the world events server config guide.
Most of the Changelog Is Not New, and Here Is Which Parts
This is the part other sites will not tell you. A stable release changelog consolidates everything from the pre-release cycle, so a great deal of what reads as a reveal today was published weeks ago. We covered all five Update 7 pre-release parts as they landed, on 3 September, 10 September, 17 September, 24 September and 1 October.
Checked against our own archive, the following appear in the Chapter I changelog and were already in our coverage:
The seven gadgets. The Scrap Drill, Scrap Glider, Rocket Boots, Hookshot, Spyglass, Bangstick and Goblin Repair Kit were in the Update 7 pre-release notes and, for the Hookshot, as far back as the Chapter 1 first look in July 2026.
The Runestone system. Ability and Modifier Runestones, the two-slot limit and the shard costs were in Update 7 Parts 4 and 5. We also covered Simon on boss abilities becoming runes.
The Voidheart, from Update 7 Part 5 and Update 5 Part 6.
The Feastmaster, which the post now calls "the first boss". It has appeared in our coverage since the July first look as an elite goblin that calls in reinforcements, and in Update 7 Parts 1 through 4.
Gobliterator and its hard mode. The post confirms the in-world trigger: "if you really want a challenge, press that ominous-looking button to the left of the boss chamber entrance. Let it be known, we warned you!" We covered hard mode being absent from the pre-release build and the $15,000 bounty attached to it.
The server boot and view radius changes, which are in the modder-facing post and were covered in our Update 7 plugin breaking changes piece.
The headline summary block is a fair snapshot of the whole, and it is short enough to quote in full:
Added breaches that can occur within the Echo of Orbis. Breaches will begin occurring within the Echo of Orbis after a few nights have passed, or after an Avatar investigates the disturbance within the Forgotten Temple.
Added 2 new minigames, one of which includes 12 new microgames!
Added 2 new portal worlds to explore.
Added over 100 new cosmetic options, some of which are unlocked through gameplay.
Added over 20 new and reimagined NPCs to battle, including a boss fight!
Added 7 new tools and gadgets.
Added 15 new Runestones.
Added many new Goblin-themed blocks.
Added several new weapons themed after Chapter 1 encounters.
Added support for 2 new languages: French and Spanish.
French and Spanish are a genuine addition and easy to miss: "French and Spanish have now been added to the list of available languages!"
Two Smaller Things Worth Recording
The Cursebreaker Edition perk now has a stated scale. We reported yesterday that owners could claim an extra copy. The post sets the rate:
In case you didn't see the announcement on our social media, we are giving Cursebreaker Edition owners 1 extra Standard Edition copy to give away for every Hytale Early Access Chapter we release! That means, if we release 6 Chapters before 1.0, Cursebreaker Edition owners will receive 6 extra Standard Edition copies!
One copy per chapter, and the post's own worked example uses six chapters, which lines up with Simon saying early access would run six or seven chapters. It is an example, not a commitment to a number.
And the studio credited six community contributors by name: "A huge thank you to Blovien, Fullavatar, NoctuaAstrum, Nullicorn, PrestonR88, and tssan1ty for the fixes, features, and polish they've brought to this update." PrestonR88 was also credited on Update 7 Part 5.
What We Have Not Verified
In the interest of being straight with you, here is what this article does not establish.
We have not played Chapter 1. Everything above is read from the official post, not from the game. We have not seen The Guttering Hollows, the Goblin Lab or the Chapter screen.
We do not know when minigames arrive. "Shortly after" is the only guidance that exists, and there is no date, build number or hour anywhere in either post.
We cannot confirm whether minigames are live as you read this. Our checks were this morning: no official announcement, and no report in the 100 most recent r/Hytale posts up to 08:19 UTC. Creator uploads suggest otherwise and we have not verified them. The Minigames entry on the Main Menu is the only answer that counts.
0.7.0 is inferred from the docs switcher, not stated by Hytale in either post. It is the strongest available source, and it is still a documentation site rather than a release note.
We have not read all several hundred changelog lines to you. The full post is at hytale.com/news/2026/10/chapter-i-out-of-the-breach and the modding one at /news/2026/10/modder-facing-patch-notes-update-7. Read them yourself if you run a server.
If you are picking a server to play the new content on, our dungeon guide covers the general shape of handcrafted dungeons, and the full list of servers on HytaleCharts is sorted by votes rather than by anything we were paid to show you.
