All Hytale Crafting Stations: Complete Workbench & Upgrade Guide

Crafting is at the heart of Hytale's progression system. From your first wooden tools to legendary enchanted weapons, everything runs through crafting stations. Understanding which station makes what, and how to upgrade them, will save you time and keep your gear on par with the challenges ahead. Crafting Progression Overview Hytale's crafting follows a tier system. Early stations use basic materials and produce simple items. As you upgrade or unlock new stations, you gain access to better recipes with stronger results. Basic Tier (start of game): Hand crafting, Campfire, Basic Workbench Intermediate Tier (after first dungeon): Forge, Anvil, Loom, Alchemy Table Advanced Tier (mid-game): Upgraded versions of all stations Expert Tier (late-game): Specialized stations for magical and rare items All Crafting Stations Basic Workbench The first station you'll build. Requires only wood planks. Unlocks basic tool and furniture recipes. Makes: Wooden tools, basic furniture, torches, chests, doors Materials to build: 8 Wood Planks Campfire A simple cooking station. Place raw food on it to cook. Does not require a crafting interface. Makes: Cooked meats, roasted vegetables, basic food items Materials to build: 4 Sticks, 2 Coal or Charcoal Furnace Smelts raw ores into ingots and fires clay into bricks. Essential for metal progression. Makes: Copper Ingots, Iron Ingots, Gold Ingots, Bricks, Glass Materials to build: 12 Cobblestone, 4 Coal Fuel: Coal, Charcoal, or Wood Forge An upgraded furnace for smelting higher-tier ores. Required for Thorium and above. Makes: Thorium Ingots, Mythril Ingots, advanced alloys Materials to build: 8 Iron Ingots, 16 Cobblestone, 4 Magma Blocks Anvil The primary station for metal weapons and armor. Recipes expand as you unlock better materials. Makes: Metal weapons, metal armor sets, shields, chains Materials to build: 12 Iron Ingots Loom Processes fibers and cloth into fabric-based items. Used for light armor, bags, and decorative items. Makes: Linen armor, cloth bags, banners, wool clothing, carpets Materials to build: 6 Wood Planks, 8 Linen Scraps Alchemy Table Brews potions from gathered ingredients. Makes: Buff foods, soups, pies, multi-ingredient meals Materials to build: 6 Iron Ingots, 8 Cobblestone, 4 Wood Planks Carpentry Bench Specializes in advanced wooden items and furniture with detailed models. Makes: Bows, crossbows, advanced furniture, wooden decorations, shields Materials to build: 10 Wood Planks, 4 Iron Nails Farming Bench Creates farming equipment and food troughs for animal care. Makes: Hoes, watering cans, scarecrows, food troughs, seed bags, compost Materials to build: 8 Wood Planks, 2 Iron Ingots Tanning Rack Processes leather from animal hides into usable crafting materials. Makes: Leather strips, hardened leather, leather armor, saddles Materials to build: 6 Sticks, 4 Linen Scraps Jeweler's Table Cuts gems and creates jewelry with stat bonuses. Makes: Rings, amulets, cut gems, enchanted accessories Materials to build: 8 Iron Ingots, 4 Gold Ingots, 2 Glass Enchanting Table Adds magical properties to weapons and armor using memory fragments. Makes: Enchanted weapons, enchanted armor, magical scrolls Materials to build: 12 Obsidian, 4 Gold Ingots, 8 Memory Fragments Fishing Workbench Creates and repairs fishing equipment. Makes: Fishing traps, bait, nets, fishing rods Materials to build: 6 Wood Planks, 4 Linen Scraps, 2 Iron Ingots Stone Mason's Bench Shapes stone blocks into decorative variants (bricks, pillars, slabs, stairs). Makes: Stone bricks, pillars, slabs, stairs, carved blocks, statues Materials to build: 16 Cobblestone, 4 Iron Ingots Dye Station Mixes dyes from flowers and minerals to color armor, banners, and decorations. Makes: Dyes (all colors), dyed armor, colored banners, painted blocks Materials to build: 6 Wood Planks, 4 Glass, assorted flowers Runic Forge The most advanced crafting station, combining metalwork with magical rune inscriptions for the strongest gear in the game. Makes: Runic weapons, runic armor, legendary items Materials to build: 8 Mythril Ingots, 12 Obsidian, 4 Void Crystals Upgrading Stations Most crafting stations can be upgraded to unlock higher-tier recipes. To upgrade, interact with the station and select the upgrade option (requires specific materials).
